Bug fixes
After the update to version 2.8C, telephony problems could occur under certain circumstances, as the telephones did not perform a DHCP request after the lease period had expired.
The login did not work under certain circumstances.
Only COMfortel D-100/110/200/210: After the update to version 2.8C, the dialling of multiple * and # was not possible without restrictions, as a menu for entering special characters was opened.

New functions
New functions are available for the function keys. These support the configuration of the phones as boss phone (silent ringing) and secretary phones (automatic opening of the pickup list).
New function key for initiating a call with subsequent DTMF sequence.
The phone now supports synchronisation with the contact data of a Google account.
The phone can now be put into a cleaning mode (function key/app) for cleaning without accidentally dialling or activating functions.
The COMfortel D-200/210/400/600 phones now support a firmware update via a USB storage medium (*.rom file in the root).
Improvements
Calls that have already been handled elsewhere can now be excluded from the call list:Telephony > Call history > Call completed elsewhere
The logging of calls can now be set depending on the type of call using the Alert Info:Telephony > Call history > Logging by call type
There has been an app update. If the app does not load any data after the update, clear the cache once: Via the phone Settings > Apps > Clear F-Droid cache and data

With Release 2.6, the following setting is omitted: Send SIP REGISTER.
New Functions
Different name sources can be prioritised in a list per Identity. The prioritisation is used to decide which name is shown in the display for incoming/outgoing calls. The following parameter is therefore redundant and has been removed: Reverse search.
The Pickup function has been extended by the following settings: Pickup-choice on key-press, Do not show in pickup list, Pickup of connected calls, App Pickup. For the device variants COMfortel D-400 / D-600 additionally Pickup list auto. opening, Play pickup tone.
The phone can send and receive SIP messages. A set message can be sent to a recipient with an appropriately configured function key. A received SIP message is displayed as a notification.
When configuration switchover is enabled in the PBX, the LED of the function key lights up green.
Date and time of the phone are displayed in the web interface.
Re-registration can be triggered at an earlier time than set in the register interval per Early re-register (sec), Refresh register at 1/2.

General Information
Important: Support for the xml description for function keys will be discontinued in a future release. Please migrate your function keys to the Lua format.
New Functions
When this function is switched off, incoming and outgoing calls are saved in the Call history.
After picking up the receiver or putting it down, a predefined phone number is called after a predefined time.
If an image has been assigned to a speed dialling key, this picture is also displayed during simplified forwarding in the active call.
Pressing a configured emergency call button on the device sends an alert in the form of a silent notification to other users.
From Release 2.4, the use of USB headsets is supported.
The Voicemail App is now supported for the device variants COMfortel D-400/D-600 in connection with Auerswald PBXs (support for COMtrexx from Release 1.8.0). The app allows you to organise fax messages and voicemails conveniently. Users of a provisioning PBX do not need to enter any credentials. The app is self-provisioning.
The online help can now be accessed and searched directly in the web interface.
Images from the SIP header are displayed for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Improvements

If the boot process into the updater fails, the reason for the standstill is now displayed.
The administrator can display or hide menu options. The display no longer exclusively affects the phone, but now also affects the user's authorisation level and how menu options are displayed on the web interface.
In the 2nd line of a configured speed dialling key, the stored phone number is now displayed again.
Terms used until nowRepeat subscription/Repeat register modified in Retry subscriptions/Retry register. This makes it clear that these are settings for the event of an error.
During the display of webcam images in standby mode, the switchover to the dialling window takes place automatically while dialling a number; there is no need to press the Home key.
Bug fixes
After the firmware update to version 2.2A, network dropouts occurred due to a problem with the IPv4 configuration (static, DHCP).

On the COMfortel D-100/D-200 device types, in some cases the status message displayed during provisioning did not disappear after the process was finished.
Calling up the central caller list led to display problems with partly limited operability of the phone.
After the firmware update to version 2.2A, an incorrect BLF display of the group status occurred. A busy group number was not signalled as busy (lit red).
After multiple logins/logouts to a COMtrexx, names were not correctly updated in the display.
After the firmware update to version 2.2A, there was an incorrect display of the key LED and limited functionality in the speed dialling keys with call numbers to external area.
After the firmware update to version 2.2A, network interruptions occurred due to a problem with the IPv4 configuration (static, DHCP).

Depending on the scenario, the 2nd line in the label of the speed dialling key contains different information, such as e.g. setup errors, the current call status or name/phone number of the other party if available and much more.

For a potential service case, information is now displayed as to which network chip was installed in the phone: Web interface > Dashboard > Network chip,Phone > Settings > About phone > Network chip/
If a phone can be reached in the network, an LLDP packet with MED class 3 information is sent when the LLDP function is switched on and after the preset time interval has expired. Can be set in the following places: Web interface > Network > Topology > Basic Network SettingsPhone > Settings > Network > Topology
A call can be parked in a position and resumed using the parking position key.
An example has been added for setting up call bindings on a FRITZ!box.
The LED display of the speed dialling key has been expanded to include the status flashing yellow (establishing a subscription) and glowing yellow (error).
For easy navigation, the list of possible function keys now appears in alphabetical order.
A configured camera can be set as wallpaper for the idle screen. Gesture control can be used to switch between two different views: standard view on the left, view without widgets on the right: Phone > Settings > Display and LED > Camera as wallpaper
Admins have to change the password at the initial login. The old password must no longer be entered.
After an update, the phone may appear usable even though the settings migration is not yet complete. To inform the user of this fact, a blocking message now appears: Data conversion, process can take several minutes.
For the call types Exchange Line and Group a corresponding icon is now displayed.
Access: Menu items can be shown/hidden by the administrator. The display no longer only affects the phone, but also the display of menu items in the web interface for the authorisation level User.
Previously, the image of the ME contact was only displayed on the idle screen if it was encoded according to the Base64 standard. It is now possible to specify an external URL.
So far, the display name, as assigned under identities, was sent with a call. Now a prioritised selection is made:
1. Primary user name (can be provisioned) 2. Display name as assigned under Identities 3. Device name 4. No display if none of the listed information is available

Only LDAPS is used by default. The specification for the default port of the LDAP server has been adjusted accordingly and an overview of possible ports for various LDAP protocols has been added.
Certain requests (reboot, check-cfg) via Notify were only executed if the request was sent by the registrar and the registrar was saved as an IP address or the IP address was in the SIP provisioning release list. Now requests are also executed if they come from the registrar or outbound proxy, regardless of the saved format.

A provisioning error caused dropouts in the outgoing audio channel during the call in connection with FW 8.2B-002. Now the error has been resolved.
Device inertia and audio issues were experienced due to memory losses associated with BLF. Now these errors have been resolved.
Pending re-registration attemps due to timing errors in the phone could lead to the error message "503 Broken pipe" after an update or restart of the PBX. The phones now register themselves stably when the Pbx is restarted.
When configuring speed dialling keys via the web interface, the displaying of assigned function keys was briefly interrupted after saving. Now the error has been resolved.
When do-not-disturb was enabled, the LED on the function key did not light up red as excepted after logging into the PBX, but in yellow. Now the error has been resolved.
In the case of function keys for speed dialling an PBX templates, a time set too short for the re-subscribe led to a high load. Now the error is fixed by using the expire time defined in the configuration.
During the boot process or the initilisation of Lua keys, there were sporadic errors when executing the initial code. Now the error has been resolved.
Display errors and crashes occurred when importing configurations with the maximum number of Lua speed dialling keys. Now this bug is fixed by working on the Lua managers.
While holding and calling another call partner, unwanted audio effects occurred during the first two to three ring tones. Now this behaviour is fixed.
The volume control was changed with the firmware update to version 2.0. This change caused the volume for hands-free calling and ringing to be too low. Now the volume control has been adjusted.
After the firmware update to version 2.0A, the COMfortel D-series devices sporadically had audio problems. Now these problems are solved.
After a firmware update to version 2.0B, sporadically quiet calls occurred. Now this behaviour is fixed.
