Connection setup

The waiting time for block dialling can now be set shorter to enable a faster connection setup: Public switched tel. networks > VoIP > Provider > Configure > Only en-bloc dialling | Delay time after last digit dialed

Query IP address

The IP address query only worked on analogue, ISDN and system telephones, but not on standard IP telephones.

COMfortel SoftPhone

It happened occasionally that softphones lost their registration.

Softphones with a + in the password could not register. Now no + is allowed in the password.

End of the call

The call was not ended on COMfortel D-series telephones after the other party hung up.

Import Provider template

After changing certain settings and exporting, provider templates could no longer be imported under certain circumstances.

Announcement before answering

Announcement before answering was not played at the target of a call forwarding if announcement before answering was not also active at the forwarding party.

Connection setup

Connections with individual participants always broke off after a short time. Now improved handling of faulty ACK packets that reach the PBX after modifications on the provider side.

Wake-up calls only worked on analogue and ISDN phones, but not on IP phones.

Configurable Hold time after announcement before answering external calls to a group

The function determines the hold time in the waiting loop of a group. The maximum possible hold time is 30 minutes. This applies to the period in which no subscriber in the group is available. If a subscriber becomes free, the hold time ends and the normal call duration of max. 3 minutes applies.

Update messages for WS-500X and COMfortel SoftPhone

If this function is enabled, the name and call number can be updated during the connection set-up for blind transfer and online name search.

Function key SUB CF

On a COMmander 6000 with disabled automatic exchange line request, the function key TN AWS of a connected D-400 (direct exchange access enabled) showed no status.

E-mail logo

An imported e-mail logo (Administration > E-mail > Logo management) could not be deleted.

Central caller list

On a COMfortel IP series phone, calls were displayed in the central caller list although the call was answered by another group subscriber.

System phone contact image

A contact image stored in the PBX phone book was not displayed when calling the corresponding contact in a COMfortel 3600 IP.

Password Provisioning WS-500X

When provisioning a WS-500X, using »$« in the password caused it to be falsified in the provisioning file. The subscriber could therefore not be logged on to the PBX.

Callback on busy

CF on busy no longer worked on analogue extensions.

Voicemail app: Voicemail box readiness

The readiness of the voicemail box could not be disabled via the voicemail app.

VoIP with 1und1: Error 403

With a VoIP account from provider 1und1, telephony failures occurred (error 403).

New functions

Account Management

To ensure that two internal subscribers can be registered on one device (COMfortel IP only), a new button has been implemented: Subscriber (scr.) > VoIP settings > Allow login with multiple accounts.

New audio codec

Support of a new audio codec NAU88C22 for analogue subscribers and exchange line connections (FXO and FXS modules, COMpact 4000 mainboard).

COMfortel SoftPhone/operating mode: Codecs

The order of the codecs G.711 and G.722 used in the VoIP operating mode "Broadband" was swapped.

Web interface

The page load of the web interface was too slow.

The COMfortel IP Editor was not functioning properly. With the current version, the COMfortel IP Editor starts as usual.

Access via https to the web interface of the PBX failed if the "content security policy" was also activated.

After recreating SIPS/SRTP certificates, error messages were displayed in the web interface.

On a COMpact 5200R the registration address (Administration > VoIP configuration) was not displayed after activation of the COMfortel SoftPhone.

Licenses

Extended park positions: The activation did not work on a COMpact 5500.

PBX management

Registration address SIP proxy: When importing a PBX backup into another PBX, the serial number of the original PBX was taken over.

Provisioning

On a COMpact 5200, after creating a provisioning file and commissioning a WS-500, the LDAP phonebook did not work. Error message: Service not available.

When creating a softphone subscriber, the special character "&" is no longer permitted when assigning a password, as this caused provisioning to fail.

In the provisioning file for the COMfortel SoftPhone, "RFC-2833" was entered by default for DTMF transmission.

Telephoning

Due to an error in the libsrtp area, there was an increased number of dropped calls.

Calls with a COMfortel SoftPhone were rejected with error message 403.

With the COMfortel SoftPhone (desktop client), the ringing tone continued to be played after call acceptance and the call was terminated by the softphone after approx. 30 sec.

In the COMfortel SoftPhone Mobile App, outgoing calls started by direct entry or from the caller list frequently failed with the error message 'Forbidden'.

The call length for the different device types for a group call with text before reporting was adjusted.

On a CP 5500, there were sporadic dropped calls with the provider Telekom Magenta.

Switching via toggling: During a group call (subscriber logged in as outgoing), the correct call number was not displayed for the called party.

Phones

The device type of the COMfortel SoftPhone has been permanently changed.

The listening direction for the a/b audio box was not switched through, so the recorded gong and confirmation tones could not be heard on the phone.

If the account was offline, a message was displayed for external calls that there were not enough VoIP channels available.

Administration>System messages>Simple malfunction: Despite sufficient external VoIP channels, the function led to the sending of error messages and log entries. Now these messages can be switched of under:Administration>VoIP configuration.

Provisioning

Switching various functions in the provisioing file for the COMfortel D-series no longer worked. Now switching is possible again. To do this, the phone must be re-provisioned.

Telephoning

For outgoing connections via the provider Vodafone, no ringing tone was output in certain scenarios. Now the ringing tone can be heard again.

The provider Telekom Magenta occasionally dropped calls. Now the problem is solved.

General

New assignment of a one-time password

The owner or an authorised representative can gain access to the PBX after identification, despite the forgotten password.
So far, several options were available for reassigning a one-time password.
In the future, there will only be one way to increase the security standard for this procedure.

Change of access rights

Users with access to Configuration Manager of the PBX (in the LAN or via the Internet) can obtain administration rights through certain non-documented accesses.
This possibility of increasing rights was blocked by security measures.

NOTE:

For security reasons, please make an update, even if you do not need the extended functions.
Direct access from the Internet to the Configuration Manager (via port forwarding in the router) should be switched off for security reasons.
Instead, use Auerswald Remote Access or VPN access to access remote ICT systems via the Internet.

New Functions

Expansion of the park position

The number of park positions for Call parking can be increased from 10 to 30 positions via voucher via the shop.

InterCom in the COMfortel D-series and Standard VoIP devices

By purchasing the activation of the "SIP convenience package brand plus" it is now possible to make an InterCom call to standard SIP devices. In order to use the new function with the COMfortel D-series, a phone update to version 2.0 or higher and the activation of the "Convenience package D-series" in the respective PBX is necessary.

Status of the VoIP call channels

If the internal VoIP call channels are exceeded (no longer enough call channels available), the system administration is informed of a simple malfunction by e-mail or the administration can view this via the system messages.

Bug-fixes

Signalling of Multi-path call forwarding faulty at COMfortel 3600 IP

If a function key on a COMfortel 3600 IP has been assigned an external multi-path call forwarding, the LED is now correctly signalled for a Vodafone account when switching.

After an update, entries were deleted from the IP routing

When updating to version 8.2A, entries are no longer deleted from the IP routing.

Fallback destination not displayed for LAN-TAPI subscribers

If in Austria only the head number was called with an ISDN PTP connection, the call is now also signalled to a registered LAN-TAPI subscriber in the event of a fallback.

Too many requests due to wrong phone number at the Telekom provider

Attempts to register with a wrong number no longer result in the PBX from attempting to register with several requests per second.

After updating to version 8.0B, the PBX was partially unavailable

With the update to version 8.2A, the behaviour no longer occurs that PBXs partially could no longer be reached.

By changing the subscriber MSN, the handset was removed from the base

If the subscriber number of a COMfortel WS-500X Handset is changed in the PBX, this no longer results in the handset being removed from the base.

SIP alert info "External and internal calls" was not functional

If the option "External and internal calls" was set for a VoIP subscriber in the settings for "SIP alert info", the info message is now correctly transmitted when a call is made.

If there were no more dynamic VoIP channels available for assignment and external VoIP channels were also assigned, an error message for missing external channels will no longer appear.

Missing announcement when calling an unknown number in the Vodafone network

If an unknown number in the Vodafone network is called via a Telekom VoIP exchange line, the Telekom announcement can now be heard again.

Although 'Call deflection' was enabled in the SIP account, the call forwarding was carried out via the 2nd B-channel

If the call forwarding method 'Call deflection' is set for a SIP trunk account and additionally a subscriber or group call forwarding immediately is enabled, the call is no longer made via the second B-channel in the event of a forwarding.

Incorrect deletion of the leading 0 for exchange line request in Italian phone numbers

In Italian phone numbers, the leading 0 for exchange line request is no longer deleted from the caller list.

Fast hanging-up after blind transfer led to hands-free mode

During a call, the external subscriber should be transferred via a speed dial key (blind transferring). If the receiver was hung up too quickly, the subsequent call could not be forwarded. Now the transferring phone no longer falls into hands-free mode if it falls back.

Phone book query via LDAP was not stable

By single letter search of a phone book entry via LDAP with a COMfortel D-400. All relevant contacts are now displayed again.

Incorrect codec negotiation in VoIP operating mode "Mixed"

If the VoIP operating mode "Mixed" is set in the PBX, the G.722 codec is no longer negotiated for VoIP calls.

Creating the base number generated error message

An error message no longer appears if the internal base number is entered in the call parking function.

Incorrect permanent provisioning of the COMfortel D-series

After adjustments to the PBX firmware, the COMfortel D-series is no longer provisioned every minute.

Attempting to register with the wrong phone number no longer leads to blocking

When registering with an incorrect phone number at a Telekom exchange line, the user’s IP is no longer entered in the blocklist on the Telekom side. In addition (if enabled) an e-mail about a simple malfunction is sent to the administration of the PBX.

The Google Contacts API is obsolete and will be switched off on June 15, 2021. This change also affects all Google phone books in Auerswald PBXs. In order to still be able to use a synchronisation with Google phone books, a new registration od the function on your Google account is required.

Analogue door terminals were mistakenly displayed as busy on standard VoIP end devices

After a call on an analogue door terminal, there is no longer the wrong state 'Busy' displayed on a standard VoIP end device.

After forced DSL separation, accounts were occasionally not registered

If there is a forced DSL separation in a router, VoIP accounts are no longer occasionally unregistered.

Display of BLF status incorrect

A standard VoIP phone with busy BLF for for example group logging, now displays the correct status when pressing the key.

Audio switching on outgoing calls to 0800 numbers incorrect

On a call to a 0800 number, the audio signal is now correctly switched.

Occasionally restart of PBX on calls to invalid destination number

There are no longer occasionally restarts of the PBX when an invalid external number is called.

Logging out of a group via API interface generated unwanted state

An active 1und1 account now registeres only every 2 hours.

Dial level for France was incorrect

The dial level for France was set to 'International' on the page 'Exchange line request' and is now correctly set to 'National'.

Deactivating an external call forwarding was not possible

On a COMfortel D-400 deactivating an external call forwarding is now possible again using a key.

Request of call data list via API command was not possible

The sub admin can now again do a request of a call data list via API command.

Telephony via Telekom CompanyFlex Pure Tariff was not possible

Using the CompanyFlex Pure Tariff of the Telekom, incoming and outgoing calls are now possible.

Audio was not switched after exchange line substitute tone

If exchange line substitute tone is enabled, there is now the audio signal in both directions.

4-digit configuration could not be activated

A configuration with a 4-digit identification number can now be activated on a D-series phone.

Incorrect Status of a BLF-CF key after a PBX restart

Support of further Call Types on SIP Calls
Up to now, it was only distinguished between internal and external SIP calls.
From version 7.8A there is also distinguished between door, alarm and group calls. There is as well an end device evaluating this call types.

Default Size of Jitter Buffer set to 60 ms
When creating a new provider, jitter buffer is set with a time of 60 ms. Therefore, 3 (20 ms) or 2 (30 ms) RTP packets fit in the buffer.
The jitter buffer is not changed when importing a provider because the value is taken from the template.

Extension to 16 Alarm Announcements
The number of possible alarm announcements was raised from 4 to 16.

Priority Call on Do-not-Disturb through Group Rework Time was no longer possible
If a group member is put into do-not-disturb through rework time, now a priority call is possible again.

During Configuration Switching Group Members were logged in again

DTMF Negotiation "A, B, C, D" could not be forwarded by the PBX
If an end device sends the DTMF negotiation "A, B, C or D", this negotiation will now be forwarded by the PBX.

BLF of a Group Speed Dialling Key did not display 'busy' on a COMfortel D-400
If a group was configured with "Busy-on-Busy busy from 1st connection" on, the status of 'busy' is now also signalled by red blinking LED.

API "Enabling CFU (saved Destination Phone Number is taken)" was not functional
An API CFU for which no destination phone number has been entered can now be activated and deactivated.

Blind Transfer to External Destination was not prevented
Blind transfer to external destination is now again prevented. That means that the subscriber receives a note that transferring to an external subscriber is not possible.

Provisioning was not possible when the Name of the PBX contained a Special Character
A COMfortel 1400 IP is now provisioned, even if the name of the PBX contains a special character.

Dialling a non-existing internal Phone Number led to Exchange Line Call
If on a PBX initialised for Greece a non-existing internal phone number is dialled, this call does not lead to an exchange line call.

No Entry could be added in the IP Routing
With an inserted NET module an entry can now be added in the IP routing.

LAN-TAPI was not automatically activated during Provisioning for D-Series
LAN-TAPI is now automatically activated by provisioning on a telephone of the D-series if PBX Call Assist is ticked off in the PBX and the desired line in the UC server is activated.

Group Member with active FMC was not considered for Busy-on-Busy
'Busy' is now signalled to an external caller, if he calls a busy group subscriber with activated FMC and the group configuration "Busy-on-Busy busy from 1st connection on".

Occasionally, no Call Tone on outgoing Call

  Central point of firmware version 7.4B is the new IP DECT solution of Auerswald and the support of it. The solution consists of the following devices:
  • COMfortel WS-500S (singlecell basis)
  • COMfortel WS-500M (multicell basis)

  • COMfortel M-520 (elegant handset))
  • COMfortel M-530 (robust handset))
  The special part of the new system is the vastly better interaction of the ICT system and the DECT solution. The dominant part of the configuration of the DECT system takes place on the PBX. The DECT system is created as base and the handsets as subscriber.
   
  
  Important note for trouble-free installation:
  The base is not connected to the network until the provisioning file has been created and assigned. After connecting the DECT system finds the PBX and receives the corresponding configuration from the PBX. The handsets only need to be switched on and registered to the base. The DECT system is then ready for use.

• Improvement of the Configuration Manager after a firmware update
  The behaviour of the Configuration Manager has been improved in that way that it is no longer necessary that the cache of the browser must be deleted after a firmware update.

• RSS feed is no longer supported

  During a call from an internal subscriber to a subscriber with enabled FMC (Fixed Mobil Convergence), the correct phone number of the calling subscriber is transmitted (at an internal call the external subscriber number assigned via the call distribution or at an external call the phone number of the caller).
• When calling on an internal busy FMC subscriber, the FMC destination number was called
  If the FMC subscriber is busy, now, the FMC destination number is no longer called.
• Device type could be changed later
  The device type cannot not be changed later anymore (Subscriber -> IP Provisioning -> File management -> Column “Use for Device Type”).
• IP phone was provisioned unnecessarily
  If a call forwarding is activated or deactivated via the configuration manager, no provisioning takes place on the affected IP telephone afterwards.

• CLIP amplification for Belgium set to 25 dB
  In the expert settings of an analogue exchange line for Belgium, the CLIP amplification is now preset on 25 dB.
• Increase of the security measures by additional http header
  In the current web browsers the security has been increased by the activation of new security mech-anisms.

Bug-fixes:

• Fallback after fallback time terminated the exchange line connection during a group call
  The response time behaviour of group calls from external callers was enhanced. This shall avoid fur-ther unexpected termination of connections.
• Exporting the configuration from the simulation server left out passwords
  Configurations containing passwords, which had been uploaded to the simulation server, will be ex-ported including the passwords.
• Number of DTMF digits, which could be dialled during a call, was limited
